Have you ever wanted to learn how to fish? Join the park naturalists for an intro to fishing program! All ages are welcome, but those aged 16 years and older must have a fishing license to participate (basic - no trout stamp necessary). Children do not need a license but parents do if they are actively participating. Fishing rods, bait and tackle are included. We will be fishing on the lake shore/pier in the Shoaff’s Mill Day Use Area at the main boat launch on Boat Launch Road.

All programs are subject to change due to weather or staffing shortages. Please check the DCNR Calendar of events or Facebook page for cancellations or changes to programs. Severe weather, such as snow, ice, storms, or heavy rains will cancel most programs. If you’d like, you can leave your number with us and we can notify you of changes.
