Homeschool Day: Natural Ornaments Hike

Many different natural materials that come from plants found in Pennsylvania woodlots and backyards can be used for making unique homemade ornaments.  Take a walk with the park educator to learn about some of these plants and the habitats they grow in.  Then take home a kit to create your own unique ornaments in the comfort of your own home.

Kit includes a variety of natural materials, supplies, photos, and step-by-step directions to make two or more ornaments.  Small tools needed to complete assembly, such as hot glue and scissors, are not provided.  Children will require adult supervision.

Program will take place outdoors and is appropriate for all grade levels.  Children must be accompanied by an adult. All participants must wear facemasks and practice social distancing. Group size limited to 18 people, including adults. Pre-registration is required by Tuesday, December 8th.  Please include adults when registering.  Meet outside in front of the Wildlife Center.
