History of the Point

Join park staff for an easy walk on level terrain around the park to learn about the history of the Point, from the time of Fort Pitt up to what the land was like during the Industrial Revolution, including what buildings and factories once stood at the Point.
This program is free, but space is limited to 20 participants, so registration is required. Register by emailing our education staff at RA-pointenved@pa.gov
Details such as meeting location will be emailed to you after you register. Please make sure to register as a group if more than one person is coming with you.
Please dress for the weather, as we will be outside the entire time. We will be walking on level terrain. Programs are weather permitting, and may be cancelled due to inclement weather including severe storms or due to low registration.
All current COVID mitigation guidelines will be followed.
