Join the Park Naturalist for a hike back in time on a 4.5-mile hike on the Wyggeston Trail. This hike will past by the Muddy Creek Oil Field, where you will learn about the mineral extraction in the Muddy Creek Valley. The trail also meanders through remains of old farmsteads. Walk in the footsteps of the parks forefathers on the top of Whippoorwill Hill, where the idea of “Moraineland” came about. This trail is considered “most difficult hiking”, so hikers should be in good physical shape and be prepared to traverse steep, rocky and uneven terrain. Dress for the weather, wear sturdy footwear, and bring your own water and snack for the trail.
