Join a naturalist at 9 AM on select weekdays for hikes of varying length and difficulty. This year’s series visits trails on our public lands including state parks, a state forest, game lands, land trusts and preserves. Come out to get some exercise, learn about the area’s natural history, and relax in the fresh air.

Choose 9 AM or 1 PM for this hike at Thomas Darling Preserve (due to limited parking). The trail is fairly easy but does have some tricky roots, mud and rocks. It meanders through the boreal woods, past a beaver dam, and on a boardwalk through a glacial wetland.

Please wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring water. Friendly dogs on a leash are welcome.
