DESCRIPTION:Join the park naturalist and Durham Township Environmental Advi
 sory Council members for a 4-mile hike along the new Highlands Connector Tr
 ail.This invigorating hike will traverse a variety of terrain and habitat\,
  with views of the lake\, woods\, streams\, and pond. We will begin at the 
 Marina Visitor Center and hike east to John's Pond\, where we will take a s
 hort break before turning around. Along the way\, we will talk about wildli
 fe along the water and watershed conservation.\n\n \n\nNo registration is r
 equired for this event\, and friendly\, leashed dogs are permitted. This ro
 ute will traverse uneven terrain\, including rocks\, inclines\, soft ground
 \, and potentially downed tree limbs. Hiking experience is recommended\, an
 d sturdy hiking shoes or boots are required. Bring along water\, and a snac
 k for our stop at the pond!\n\n \n\nPark at Marina Visitor Center\, 1 Harri
 sburg School Road. Our route will travel to the left of the building\, as y
 ou face the lake. Restrooms are available at the Marina\, but as de-winteri
 zing is still underway\, it is possible that only the rightmost restroom (a
 s you face the lake) will be open on this day. Plan your arrival accordingl
