Join the park naturalist and Durham Township Environmental Advisory Council members for a 4-mile hike along the new Highlands Connector Trail.This invigorating hike will traverse a variety of terrain and habitat, with views of the lake, woods, streams, and pond. We will begin at the Marina Visitor Center and hike east to John's Pond, where we will take a short break before turning around. Along the way, we will talk about wildlife along the water and watershed conservation.

No registration is required for this event, and friendly, leashed dogs are permitted. This route will traverse uneven terrain, including rocks, inclines, soft ground, and potentially downed tree limbs. Hiking experience is recommended, and sturdy hiking shoes or boots are required. Bring along water, and a snack for our stop at the pond!

Park at Marina Visitor Center, 1 Harrisburg School Road. Our route will travel to the left of the building, as you face the lake. Restrooms are available at the Marina, but as de-winterizing is still underway, it is possible that only the rightmost restroom (as you face the lake) will be open on this day. Plan your arrival accordingly!
