On Monday, April 8 a partial solar eclipse will be visible in our area (weather permitting) between 2-4pm, while the eclipse path of totality will actually cross over western Pennsylvania and beyond. Following Friday's DiscoverE! regular homeschool meetup class (10am-12pm) we will reconvene for an encore to discuss the upcoming solar eclipse and ways to safely view this stellar phenomenon with a hands-on demonstration of the Sun, Moon and Earth, as well as free eye protection tools including pinhole viewers and special goggles while supplies last.
