A history discussion and introduction to natural dyes
Bucks County is famous for its wool art, especially coverlets. Most families used locally made coverlets, hand-woven blankets with intricate designs. Dyed wool from SE Pennsylvania also forever transformed traditional Navajo weaving. In this workshop, we examine this history and borrow from nature and home larders to make our designs.
Wool yarn and yardage will be provided for participants to “ecoprint” with unique designs and colors.
$15 materials fee due upon registration. Limited to 20 participants.
