Join Conservation Volunteer Ryan Johnson on a 2-hour guided bird walk at the Varden Conservation Area's Tannery Tract. If attendees are interested, the walks duration can be extended into mid-morning. At least two different walking paths will be explored as we search for early returning songbirds. This will be a great opportunity to experience one of Wayne County's best birding destinations and to potentially see Rusty Blackbirds. This park remains one of the most reliable locations to see this continually declining species. Those planning to attend should come prepared for cold weather (hats, gloves, coat, etc.) Proper waterproof footwear is also necessary. Please bring binoculars.
