Teaching About Water and Wildlife PD for Early Childhood Educators

Looking for innovative ways to engage young learners (ages 3-7) with nature?

Join the environmental educators at Kinzua Bridge for a combination Growing Up Wild and Getting Little Feet Wet professional development training for current and future early childhood educators.  Both classroom teachers and non-formal educators are welcome.

The Project WILD "Growing Up WILD" activity guide focuses on encouraging a sense of wonder about nature, wildlife, & the world around your students, and the Project WET "Getting Little Feet Wet" activity guide explores the different aspects of water; all through hands-on, investigative, and easy-to-use activities correlated to standards.

Upon completion, all participants will receive both guides - the Growing Up WILD & Getting Little Feet WET  and a completion certificate.  3.5 Act 48 hours are available for classroom teachers.

Fee: $15.00. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required.  To register, click the "Register" button on this page.

For more information or to make a payment, contact Kinzua Bridge State Park at (814) 778-5467 or kinzuabridgesp@pa.gov during regular business hours.
