DCNR Calendar of Events

Going Batty: PA Bats

Join us for an evening walk through the Middle Lot Area to look for and learn about the bats of PA, why you don’t need to worry that they’ll suck your blood, and why it’s more important than ever that we protect them. We promise there won’t be any vampires present so you can leave your garlic and wooden stakes at home (though a flashlight wouldn't hurt)! Walk will meet near the Middle Lot pavilion.

All programs are subject to change due to weather or staffing shortages. Please check the DCNR Calendar of events or Facebook page for cancellations or changes to programs. Severe weather, such as snow, ice, storms, or heavy rains will cancel most programs. If you’d like, you can leave your number with us and we can notify you of changes. If you have concerns or require special accommodations, please reach out to us at least 72 hours prior to the event at 717-865-6470 or email us at qheist@pa.gov.
