Get ready to Get Outdoors and learn the basics of a new recreation this fall with our GO Try weekend hosted by Clear Creek State Park. You will be able to choose two of four instructional sessions: Fire Building, Mountain Biking Basics, Before you Go Kayaking, or Archery Basics. All four sessions run twice, once at 8:00 AM - 10 AM and the other from 10:30 AM- 12:30 PM. Our knowledgeable instructors are ready to help the beginner see the details of getting into a new outdoor sport, practice a new skill, and understand products on the market. Experienced? Come and learn some new tricks or enjoy the comradery of others. All the equipment, bikes, bows and arrows, fire strikers, and kayak transportation demonstrations, will be supplied for you. All instruction is free except for the fire building which has a $5 cost for the fire starting kit. For Adults and youth down to age 14. REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
Three Wednesday outings will follow the weekend instructions so you can build additional skills. This is a great opportunity for those looking for that support to gain confidence in a new activity. Sign up yourself or a group. All sessions have registration limits. Register by calling 814 752-2368. For questions, please contact Suzann Rensel at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling the park office.
