Winter is a great time to get outdoors and explore the natural world on snowshoes. Learn how to motivate your students to get active during the winter through an interdisciplinary set of lessons created by the PA Bureau of State Parks. Lessons focus on health, fitness and preparedness; snow, weather, climate and history. The workshop covers 5.5 hours of ACT 48 meeting Physical Education and Health and History and Science & Technology Standards. Ideal for PE teachers, the workshop is also open to anyone teaching or interested in outdoor education.
Registration required. Cost $20.
