Glacier Ridge Trail makes its way across Moraine’s North Shore, usually coinciding with the North Country Trail. But here the two trails have their own identities as we hike among evergreens leaning over the lake, by old foundations built by the farm families who owned this land and traverse the spine of a hill left by a powerful glacier. Join park staff at the east end of the 528 boat launch for approx. 2.5 miles on moderate terrain. Dress for the weather, wear sturdy footwear, and bring your own water and snack for the trail. This hike is considered most difficult hike, hikers should be in good physical shape and be prepared to traverse steep, rocky and uneven terrain.
