Girl Scouts Love State Parks: Vultures and Wildlife Careers

3025 New Holland Road, Reading, PA 19607

Attention, this program is now Wait List Only

Calling all Girl Scouts: It’s Girl Scouts Love State Parks weekend and we have a program for all girls (and their families) to work towards their STEM Career discovery badges, the Animal Habitats badge, the Animal Helpers badge, the Voice for Animals badge, and the Eco Advocate badge.

Nolde Forest is pleased to welcome Dawn White of Indian Run Environmental Education Center and her new friend Bugs the Turkey Vulture. Dawn and Bugs will teach participants all about the things that make turkey vultures special in this family friendly program– up close and personal! And when Bugs is finished, Dawn will talk about her career in environmental education and how she has come to be the care taker of a number of birds of prey. If you’re a girl scout who is thinking about a job working with wild animals or if you just want to learn all about turkey vultures, this is the program for you!
