Girl Scouts Love State Parks and Help Rare Species!
2951 Prospect Rd., Slippery Rock, PA 16057-5023
Girl Scouts Juniors and up are invited to Jennings on Girl Scouts Love State Parks weekend (Saturday, September 14 at 9:30 am) to discover how our state parks help rare species, and to participate in a volunteer experience to be a part of the solution! From uncommon plants to endangered snakes, Jennings manages critical habitats for special flora and fauna, keeping out invaders and sustaining biodiversity with a mix of people power and gung-ho goats. Scouts will assist park staff in helping protect these plants and animals by removing invasive plants and learning about and tending to the goats and the areas they are helping to manage! All equipment will be provided. Registration is required by Friday, September 6. Please register as a group for both adults and scouts that will be attending, and please indicate the ages of the scouts when registering.
