George Washington's Youghiogheny Expedition
On May21st, 272 years ago, George Washington embarked on an expedition down the Youghiogheny River in an attempt to chart a watercourse to the Forks of the Ohio. Join us at the Outflow Campground (1579 Mae West Road, Confluence, PA 15424) to hear the tale of Washington's journey from George Washington himself. At the conclusion of the program, participants will have the opportunity to assist Washington and his militia man Edmond launch a replica log raft and bid them adieu as they float Washington's histrorical path down the Youghiogheny River. No pre-registration required. This is part of the Youghopoly series of events.
