DESCRIPTION:***Due to the Extreme Heat Warning\, we will not be hosting vol
 unteer work in the garden today. If you want a tour\, please come to the f
 ront of the Park Office to begin! ***\n\n \n\nJoin the park naturalist in 
 our Native Plant Garden & Colonial Garden! In celebration of America's 250
 th Anniverisary\, we have planted a sample colonial garden containing plan
 ts that would have been used during the Revolutionary War period and earli
 er. We will give 15-30 minute tours of our small Colonial Garden on rotati
 on all throughout the program period. The group will also have the opportu
 nity to learn about the importance of native species in PA and discuss som
 e plants that are part of the garden collection.\n\n \n\nIf participants w
 ant to volunteer\, they can assist in maintaining our Native Plant Garden 
 by weeding\, planting\, mulching\, or generally helping with any tasks nee
 ded to keep the garden healthy and looking beautiful. Feel free to bring h
 and trowels\, weeders\, or whatever tools you feel comfortable using.
