DESCRIPTION:The Fort Pitt Museum and Point State Park invite homeschool stu
 dents in the 7th and 8th grades to participate in a series of in-depth cla
 sses related to history and environmental studies. Classes will be both ha
 nds-on and minds-on\, and will include reading and writing activities\, st
 udent led discussions\, and take-home assignments for students to continue
  their learning after class.\n\nThis is a drop-off program\, but parents a
 nd families are welcome to stay on-site and visit the park and the museum 
 during the program. Students will need to arrive at the Fort Pitt Museum n
 o later than 1:00pm and be picked up at 3:00pm.\n\nCost is $10 per student
  per class.\n\nDuring this class\, students will work on their public spea
 king and presentation skills by creating and presenting a brief exhibit to
