Forks of the Ohio Homeschool Series - Grades 7-8
The Fort Pitt Museum and Point State Park invite homeschool students in the 7th and 8th grades to participate in a series of in-depth classes related to history and environmental studies. Classes will be both hands-on and minds-on, and will include reading and writing activities, student led discussions, and take-home assignments for students to continue their learning after class.
This is a drop-off program, but parents and families are welcome to stay on-site and visit the park and the museum during the program. Students will need to arrive at the Fort Pitt Museum no later than 1:00pm and be picked up at 3:00pm.
Cost is $10 per student per class.
During this class, students will work on their public speaking and presentation skills by creating and presenting a brief exhibit tour for their fellow classmates.
