Forest Landowner Workshop: Creating Healthy Plants for a Diverse and Healthy Forest

This program requires preregistration and includes lunch.

Do you own woodland and have an interest in learning more about forest health and ways to improve it?  Would you like to explore other woodland management opportunities? Or maybe you volunteer with a local conservation group?

The Bureau of Forestry has foresters who can provide free advice to landowners who are interested in improving their woodlands to meet their goals.

Forest insects, diseases, and invasive plants can have a great impact on a forest.  Landowners can really benefit greatly by learning to recognize the problems.  Valuable information on current insect, disease pests, and invasive plants will be provided.  After this workshop, landowners may be able to take steps to minimize the damage.  Help may be available in the form of technical info/advice, site specific management plans, and funding support.

You must preregister by emailing fd06@pa.gov or calling 814-472-1862 by June 17.   this program is geared for adults.
