Forest Bathing for Seniors
1137 Honey Hole Road, Drums, PA 18222
*This program is for seniors. If you’ve ever taken advantage of a senior citizen discount – that’s you! Forest what?! Yes! Forest bathing. Join volunteer Suzann Schiemer as we learn about the practice of Shinrin-Yoku. Japanese studies have shown that connecting with the environment through out senses provides restorative wellness benefits. Participants should plan to spend 2.5-3 hours in the woods for this program, which will include a slow walk and periods of time to explore, interact, and connect with the environment through the senses. Ample time will be given for you to explore and experience nature. Bring water, a light snack, and wear sturdy footwear. Sunscreen and bug spray are recommended.
Free. Registration is required.
