The Forest Pools Area was acquired by the DCNR from The Nature Conservancy in 2021. Historically, parts of this area were used as a local dumpsite in the early 20th century, leaving behind scattered debris such as glass and tires. During this event, we will focus on cleaning up along the new 0.8-mile Tadpole Trail, which will soon be opened to the public. Volunteers will also help remove debris from the banks of the nearby waterway, improving the health and beauty of the surrounding ecosystem.
