Fly Tying For Beginners; A Workshop Program Series

Meet:  Bald Eagle State Park’s Environmental Learning Center

Catching a fish on a fly that you tied yourself can be an extremely rewarding experience!  Join the park naturalist and other beginners one Saturday a month from February to May for fly tying instruction and watershed education.  Learn how to tie flies, discover the
importance of water quality, and use the flies you created to try and catch fish!  The last program in May will consist of a Fly Fishing Basics program where fly rods will be
available for casting instruction and fly fishing on the banks of F.J. Sayers Lake!  You will be required to provide your own transportation throughout the park.  All materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own equipment.  Cost for this program series is $10 and must be paid before February 25.  Pre-registration is required.  To pre-register or to ask questions please call 814-625-9369 or email mtruesdale@pa.gov
