First Day Hike: Cook Trail

Join the Friends of Cook Forest and celebrate the New Year with a hike along the Cook Trail.  View one of our lesser known old growth forests and see a bit of local history as well.  This is a great time to observe tracks of animals seldom seen in other times of the year like coyote, fisher, and bobcat.  Remember to bring your snowshoes if the snow is deep, and please dress for the weather.  All ages welcome.  People/pet friendly pets welcome.

* Until further notice - Due to COVID-19 restrictions, all park programs are limited to 20 participants (unless otherwise stated), mask must be worn, social distancing in effect.  All participants must register at the Park Office at (814)744-8407 or     cookforestsp@pa.gov.  Program starting location given upon successful registration.  Programs subject to change.

All participants, including PA residents, must meet the requirements of the current Order of the Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Health for Mitigation Relating to Travel.
