First Day Hike

Welcome in 2022 by enjoying a guided hike in the park! Several hikes are scheduled - see below for details. Dress in layers, wear proper footwear and bring water/snacks.

Early Bird Hike - 9:00 am
A longer hike into the Quarry Ridge Preserve and along the southern boundary of the park. Approximately a 2.5-mile loop over moderate and rough terrain with inclines.

• Meet at the South Shore Boat Launch area.

Kids First Day Hike - 1:00 pm
A short hike for our younger visitors and their families on the Pine Trail. Approximately 1/2 mile loop trail over slightly moderate terrain.

• Meet at the Faschings Parking Area (end of South Shore Access Road).

Just a Walk in the Park - 2:00 pm
A leisurely lap around the Day Use area using our paved roads and sidewalks. This walk is approximately 1 mile long on flat terrain.

• Meet at the Warming Hut next to the Lot #1.
