First Day Hike

Join the Friends of Pine Grove Furnace State Park and park staff in celebrating the New Year. Start the year off on the right foot by hiking in the park. 
Participants will meet at the Fuller Lake washhouse. The route will be mostly flat/accessible paved or gravel paths including the Hiker-Biker-A.T., a new Connector Trail from the furnace area to the Campgrounds, and roads in the Family Campground. Optional portions of the route will include the Creek Trail circling the Campground and the Brickyard Trail, with tripping hazards and uneven terrain. Total length including the two unpaved trails is roughly two and a half miles.
The Friends group will serve light refreshments. Please dress for the weather, bring water, and wear sturdy shoes.
