Ferns and their allies (other spore-bearing plants) are sometimes overlooked in favor of flashy flowers, but they are, in truth, an incredible example of resilience - bouncing back through difficult times, even persevering, for hundreds of millions of years. Explore these ancient life forms during a guided walk: Finding Ferns and their Friends, on Sunday, October 2nd at 2:00 PM at Jennings Environmental Education Center. There are many lessons to be learned from these plants that have survived and thrived throughout pre-history and into modern times. The trails followed are rated easy, but do consist of uneven ground and some steps.
