Fill-A-Bag for National Public Lands Day
966 Marina Road, Patton, PA 16668-6317
September 26th is National Public Lands Day, a day to celebrate the land set aside for public recreation and leisure. This year, Prince Gallitzin State Park has seen increased visitation (which is great!) which has led to increased litter (which isn’t great…). So we want to challenge you to show us how much you enjoy your park by simply filling a bag!
Come on out to the park this weekend and have fun, BUT bring any size bag you can find and fill it with litter you come across. This can easily be done while waiting for a bite while fishing or hiking a trail. Then, show us how proud you are by posting a picture of you and your filled bags on our Facebook page!
Need a bag or gloves? Stop by the Park Office or Campground Office where we will have some available. Safety vests will also be available to borrow at the Campground Office if you decide to walk along any road. Please deposit filled bags in any of our dumpsters or at designated sites outside our two offices.
