Felting Workshop with Nelly Kouzmina

Tyler Park Center for the Arts, Barn $130 registration fee + $30 materials fee payable to the instructor

Explore the possibilities of felt-making and learn various techniques to create one of the oldest forms of textile using natural fibers – wool.

Sunday, April 18, 2021 (10:00am – 4:00pm)

Wool Felted Slippers:  Make your feet feel warm & cozy with a pair of colorful felted wool slippers! Using the ancient felting technique we will create a pair of comfortable slippers utilizing Merino wool fibers, soap, water, pool noodle, bubble wrap and your hands. Step by step learning process.

This workshop will be held in our newly renovated barn , allowing students to maintain social distancing. Bring a bagged lunch & drink, plus your mask. Maximum number of students is 6. Lunch break included so bring a bagged lunch.  Ages 16+

Nelly Kouzmina is a Fiber Artist and instructor based in Princeton, NJ. She received many awards for her work – Best in the show award,New Hope Arts Festival, Best in Fiber Art – Trenton City Museum,Artist of the Year (2017), Plainsboro, NJ, and many more. She taught and continues teaching beginners to advanced classes and summer camps at West Windsor Art Council,  Artists of Yardley, Lawrenceville and Plainsboro Twps.

$130 registration fee + $30 materials fee payable to the instructor at time of class.  Please pre register on our website.
