Trouble with your telescope? Dust it off and bring it out for a night under the stars. You can also opt to try out a park telescope! This program is designed to give the whole family, ages 10 & up, a hands-on experience with telescopes.
Preregistration is required. You must also attend Part I held online prior to this workshop.
Our goal is to help you successfully observe objects in the night sky with a telescope, regardless of your background or experience.
To accomplish this, you must attend the online training (Part I) (or watch the recording) and arrive on time to the park (well before dark). The instructor will coordinate a specific arrival time between 7PM & 9PM.
This workshop will include assistance in setting up your scope, alignment of the finder, and basic troubleshooting if needed. Expect about 20-minutes per group. Then relax and enjoy while you wait for the stars to come out! We'll follow-up with you after dark to see how you're doing one last time & perhaps help you find a couple new objects too.
To help accomplish all this, the class size is very limited. Please register as ONE person regardless of the number in your family or group. If the course is full, you can sign up for the wait list and we'll contact you about future workshop dates and options.
Following registration, please watch your email for a confirmation. The same email will be used for additional communication prior to the workshop.
Registration for this program opens April 1st.
