Family Science Outside -Tween & Teen Edition: Working Like a Scientist

3025 New Holland Road, Reading, PA 19607

Students, staff, and volunteers have been monitoring the ecosystem health of Nolde Forest waterways by collecting data for several years. Help park staff continue this important research by joining us for a time of sampling in the stream. We will be identifying the critters that are found as well as testing several chemical properties of the stream.  All supplies will be provided but waterproof boots are recommended. Masks must be worn the entire time.  Grownups bring your at-home-learners for this educational experience where they will get to do important scientific work in the field.

Due to the scientific nature of this research opportunity-this program is limited to participants ages 10 and older.  Volunteer hours are available upon request.  Adults bringing youths should plan to participate with us.  Please register yourself and your young people.

In order to comply with current PA and CDC Covid-19 protocols, masks and registration are required for all participants.

Spaces are limited, so please be sure you sign up by clicking the green box in the upper right- hand corner. We will not be able to take walk up participants.

You should receive a confirmation email once you have successfully registered for this program.
