Amid concerns about the potential spread of COVID-19, all public programs, events, and trainings in state parks and forests are canceled until further notice.
Except for the parks and forests that have been announced as closed, state park and forest facilities remain open.
Explore the forest after dark and search for signs of our most mysterious feathered friends. Who who whooooo could it be?
Bring a flashlight, layers for the cooler nighttime chill, and good walking shoes/sneakers.
Families with children are welcome, but please respect that we will need to be conscious and quiet hikers for the best chances at encountering an owl along the trails. Please do not attend if you cannot hike silently and over uneven terrain in low light.
Hikes are rain or shine but will be cancelled for severe weather.
In order to comply with current PA and CDC Covid19 protocols, masks and registration are required for all participants (both adults and children). Spaces are limited, so please be sure you sign up by clicking the green box in the upper righthand corner. We will not be able to take walk up participants.
NOTE: Permit-only archery hunting is in effect during these program times. Please remember to wear ORANGE for this program.
You should receive a confirmation email once you have successfully registered for this program.
Recent guidelines for public health issued by the office of Secretary of Health: All visitors to our parks and programs need to abide by state travel restrictions and guidelines. If you have been outside of PA you need to have tested negative for COVID-19 in the past 72 hours, or you must quarantine for 14 days.
