Explore Jacobsburg at night! We will learn about what animals might be found in the evening and how they survive cold winter nights. Then we’ll put on warm layers and snowshoes to go outside and experience a snowy winter night. Snowshoes and trekking poles will be provided. If we don’t get any snow then we will hike in our boots. The hike will be about half a mile. Wear waterproof boots and dress for the weather. Bring a flashlight or headlamp. Registration is required. You will be asked to specify your age and weight range when registering; this is to determine what size snowshoe you will need. We have pairs for kids that are less than 90 pounds with a size 7 shoe all the way up to adult sizes. If you plan to bring your own snowshoes please note that in your registration so that we can offer our equipment to additional families.
