Looking for a great way to connect with your family? Interested in learning a little about fishing? Discover just how much fun fishing can be. Join state park staff on the Allegheny Wharf in the park to learn basic fishing skills like casting, baiting the hook, and taking a fish off the hook. You and your family will have the opportunity to fish. All equipment provided by PA Fish and Boat Commission and DCNR Bureau of State Parks. The “catch???” Adults must bring a child and children must bring an adult. You’ll be learning and fishing together.

This free program will run on the hour each hour with the last session starting at 3:00pm on Saturday and 4:00pm on Sunday. Space is limited for each hour long session. Registration will be taken on the day of the program at the DCNR State Parks tent on the Allegheny Wharf. All children must have a parent/legal guardian with them. Children ages 5 and up only please. This program is catch and release, you will not be able to keep the fish you catch.
