Family Day

Bring the entire family for a full day of indoor environmental education programming at the TREC. Join us for one program, a couple, or all four!

No fee or registration required.

Program schedule:

                             10AM - 11AM  Animals of Presque Isle:

Skins and skulls and related activities will introduce you to animals of Presque Isle. Paint a beach rock to take home.

                              11AM - 12PM  Nutty for Squirrels:

Learn what those nutty squirrels are doing in your backyard and create with acorns.

                                1PM - 2PM  Birds are Unique:

Discover what makes a bird a bird by examining feathers, bones, and eggs. Program is followed by a craft.

                                2PM - 3PM  Lighthouse Keeper Kid:

Play old-fashioned games and hear the tales of the Lighthouse Keeper’s kid.

 

Programming is subject to modification or cancellation at the discretion of park staff. If you need an accommodation to participate in Park activities due to a disability, please contact Presque Isle State Park at 814-833-7424 to make arrangements for your visit. With at least three days’ notice, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are available for educational programs.
