Fall Tree Walk

Join Friends of the Park for a guided Tree Walk at Yellow Creek State Park to see the beautiful color of Indiana County.  Pennsylvania is considering to be one of the premier places to see fall colors at their peak. Dr. Tyree will guide parks visitors on moderately challenging, hilly hike on Ridge Top Trail for approximately two miles.  Please wear long pants and hiking shoes.  Dress for the weather.  Bring water and a light snack. 

 

This program is weather dependent.  We will meet at Lakeview Pavilion in Day Use Area.  Please watch the Yellow Creek State Park - DCNR Facebook page if the weather is questionable for the latest updates.  Meet at Lakeview Pavilion in the Day Use.  Driving Directions from the Park Office, 170 Rt 259 Hwy, Penn Run, PA 15765: Drive on Rt 259 Hwy past the park office.  Go past the South Boat Launch.  Turn right into the Day Use Area.  Go over small bridge & take 1st right.  Park by Lakeview Pavilion.
