Pennsylvania is well-loved for hunters of all sorts, from beginner to experienced, and across a wide array of prey! But how do you get started? What kind of gear should you look for? How do you even shoot a bow?

Join park staff in a two-day hands-on camp focused on the basic skills of bowhunting! We'll take a day to explore wildlife habitats, tracking, and gear first. We'll then return for day two to go over archery equipment and spend some time shooting a variety of targets! Both days are required to receive your Explore Bowhunting Student Handbook.

All equipment is provided by the park, but you'll need to bring your own food and snacks each day! While this program is for students 13-16, we encourage their adults to join us as well! Upon arrival, all participants will need to sign in and anyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian to sign for them.

In the event of rain, this program will go on as scheduled. In the event of a thunderstorm, canceled.
