Educator Open House

Are you looking for ways to instill a sense of wonder in your students? Or perhaps, teach environment and ecology and science standards with exciting hands-on lessons. Did you know that beautiful Hickory Run State Park recently opened a new visitor center which offers an award-winning interpretive exhibit hall? Come and check out our new facilities anytime during 4-6 pm and learn about the year-round educational offerings for school groups. Environmental Education, Recreation, and Self-Guided opportunities include topics like Seasonal Changes, Exploring Habitats, Animals in Winter, Winter Ecology, Orienteering, Outdoor Preparedness, and our very popular Boulder Field program. Our education staff will be on hand to answer questions about our registration process, show off our indoor classroom, outdoor teaching areas, and share some examples of our great offerings.      Educators will receive a free education orientation kit. Registration is required.
