Tired of walking around Poe Lake to check it out? Come see it out by boat! No experience or equipment required! We will be starting the paddle with some quick tips and tricks on how to kayak like an amateur before we head out for a paddle around the lake to check out the plants and animals that call this lake home!

This program is designed for people of all ages (as long as they are over 30 pounds) to learn how to kayak.

Registration for this program is REQUIRED.

There is a limited amount of kayaks and equipment in various sizes for adults and kids available, so reserve your spot early! For more information or to reserve your spot, please contact the park naturalist at korndorf@pa.gov or 814-349-2460. Please register ALL participants if you are registering as a group and report weight within these categories: 30-50 LB, 50-90 LB, OR Above 90 LB; and report age: either as 18+, or if below 18 please say the age so we can most appropriately size life jackets and kayaks.

If you have your own equipment, you are welcome to join as well! Please contact the park naturalist so we know to expect you.
