Get ready to take a step into nature, enjoy some fresh air, and celebrate Earth Day with the Friends of Beltzville on Sunday, April 27th, 2025! Our FREE Earth Day Hike is the perfect opportunity to get outside, exercise, and explore the beautiful trails at Beltzville State Park.

The hike kicks off at 2:00 pm, with sign-ins starting at 1:00pm at the Environmental Interpretive Center (EIC). This family- and dog-friendly event is open to all—just bring your well-behaved pups on a leash! The hike will cover approximately 2 miles of scenic shoreline, tree ID trails, and the Pine Cove Trail. Expect an easy-to-moderate adventure that should take about an hour. Please remember to wear sturdy shoes and bring water to stay hydrated.

We’ll be serving hot chocolate and snack before the event, so come early, enjoy a warm treat, and get ready to hit the trail!

As an all-volunteer, nonprofit group, the Friends of Beltzville work hard to enhance and conserve the park. If you enjoy the hike and our events, we’d be so grateful for your support! Donations are always welcome and much appreciated. Bring some cash and help us continue our mission to keep Beltzville a beautiful place for all.

***There are very limited parking spaces in the Environmental Interpretive Center parking lot. Additional parking can be found at Parking Lot B, and Parking Lot C near the beach.
