Celebrate Earth Day outdoors with the Endless Mountains Heritage Region. Participants should arrive at the park by 1 p.m. and should wear appropriate clothing and footwear (hiking shoes or boots) and have a sufficient supply of water with them. 

Participants will hear the history of the Howland Preserve and how DCNR acquired the property, as well as some updates on the park.  

The hike will zig zag across the park's mountainous trail system and combine sections of Old Farm Road, Vista, Whitetail and Howlin' Down trails for a little less than 4 miles total. The hike will involve moderate elevation change on uneven terrain.

The event is free and open to the public, however, we ask that you register for this event so we may get an accurate headcount and prepare for the hike. Registration can be found on EMHR's website.
