With eagle populations 'soaring' in Westmoreland county, it's become pretty common to see them at Keystone State Park, particularly around the lake as they hunt for fish. Bring your kayak, canoe, stand up paddleboard, or other approved vessel of choice to get out onto the lake for the best vantage point to see these and other fishing birds such as osprey, herons, etc. Meet the park naturalist at the boat ramp at 3:45pm so that we can get into the water and get started at 4pm.
To register for this event, please contact Jean H. Keene at (724) 668-2939 or jkeene@pa.gov.
