Watch the Draconids Meteor Shower over Black Moshannon Lake, while discovering interesting facts about meteors. Unlike most of the other meteor showers, the Draconids peak as night falls. This is usually a small meteor shower, with only a few meteors per hour, but it is known to produce some fireballs. Some years, the sleepy dragon awakes and produces over a hundred meteors an hour. Will this be the year? Let's find out.
Bring a blanket or chair to watch the meteor shower from in front of your vehicles. We will not be gathering at the picnic tables like we normally do.
