This easy 4.7-mile hike will start at Hyner View Scenic Vista utilizing the Garby section of the Donut Hole Trail continuing on to Cleveland Hollow Trail, creating a loop back to Hyner View Scenic Vista. The overlook at Hyner View State Park is located on the edge of hillside 1,300 feet above the West Branch of the Susquehanna River. Other than the nearby hillsides, there’s nothing to obstruct the view from the vista here, meaning that you’ll have more than a 180-degree view that stretches for miles in nearly every direction. The route chosen for this hike is mostly flat with very little incline. We will be enjoying the fall foliage and talking about tree identification. A tree ID booklet will be given to each attendant before the event. Parking will be in the lot provided at Hyner View State Park near the vista. Bathroom facilities are located near the parking area. Pets are welcome but must be leashed.
