DESCRIPTION:Students aged 10 to 12 years old are welcome to join us for a s
 eries of fun history-themed adventures in the park this summer! Campers wi
 ll develop a sense of place\, discover the rich local history of the area\
 , and learn how park educators interpret the park’s historical resources
 . Through this experience\, students will gain an appreciation for the dyn
 amic interface between the stories of people and the unique coastal enviro
 nment of Pennsylvania’s only “seashore.” Participants will make incr
 edible memories with their peers as they:\n\n· Explore Presque Isle Bay i
 n a pontoon boat\n\n· Meet historical characters\n\n· Take a bike ride t
 o Perry Monument\n\n· Spend a day at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center\n
 \n· Practice heritage skills with fishing and archery\n\n· Investigate h
 istoric artifacts\, old photos\, and maps\n\n· Search for discoveries whi
 le using Joe Root’s treasure map!\n\nThis three-day camp is a drop-off p
 rogram. Parents and guardians must bring their kids to the starting locati
 on between 8:30 and 8:45 each morning and return to pick them up between 3
 :15 and 3:30 in the afternoon. The first two days will begin and end at th
 e Rotary Pavilion next to Beach 7 (Waterworks)\, and the third day will be
 gin and end at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center. Students must be able t
 o bike 7 miles over the course of an afternoon to register\, as we will be
  taking a loop around the main portion of the park on the second day. Howe
 ver\, this distance will be split into two small segments\, with at least 
 one break as we visit numerous landmarks and fun spots along the trail. St
 udents will need to bring packed lunches\, refillable water bottles\, and 
 a backpack. We will provide a cooler\, as well as morning and afternoon sn
 acks. At the end of the program\, students will receive special badges!\n\
 nLimit 15 students.  Registration and payment due by June 15\, 2026.  Paym
 ent must be received at The Public Safety Building/Ranger Station on Presq
