https://amybovaird.com/disabilityinsights/ #disabilityinsightsErie, PA – On Friday, October 18th, Amy Bovaird, in partnership with the Sight Center of NWPA and the West County Lions Club, will host a seminar, which features seven speakers. They will share their personal stories about sight loss, deaf blindness, mental illness and Autism.
Each speaker will address the challenges he or she has gone through and also what has led to their successes. There will be a brief period for question and answers.
The Autism presentation will feature a panel of three speakers, who will briefly share their backgrounds, and take questions and discuss topics that frequently crop up.
The seminar will include exhibitions on low vision, autism, the Lions Club, speech therapy and other healthrelated fields as well as merchandise and books authored by the presenters. There will be a chair yoga session in the afternoon.
The target audience for Disability InSIGHTS are individuals with disabilities, their families, caregivers, support staff and friends. Outcomes are connection, sharing resources, and increased motivation.
The seminar will be held on Friday, October 18th at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center from 10:30 am - 3 pm. There will be a thirty-minute break with snacks halfway through. The cost is $10 per person.
