Come to Sinnemahoning State Park on Saturday, February 2nd, for a fun lesson on the popular sport of cross-country skiing.
Experienced skier and former downhill ski instructor, Curt Weinhold, will explain the basics of cross-country skiing, equipment, and techniques and guide beginners in practicing the "kick and glide" method.
Program will begin indoors with basic instruction, then head outdoors to a flat area to practice techniques. When participants are ready, Curt will lead the group on a short ski trip down the Lowlands Trail.
All equipment, including skis, poles, and boots will be provided. A limited number of adult sizes are available. Participants should dress in wicking, breathable layers and wear a waterproof outer layer. No jeans please.
Pre-registration is required by Thursday, January 31. Be sure to include your shoe size in the "Additional Information" section.
