Comets: Messengers of the GOds

Come and join us on for a fun and interesting program on comets, from deep in the past up to the recently discovered interstellar comet passing through our solar system.

Comets are interesting celestial objects studied by professional and amateur astronomers alike. More and more, historians and archaeologists are recognizing the role of comets in human history, and may have set us on a course toward civilization. Once considered as harbingers of doom, today we know comets are chunks of rock and ice. This program looks at several comet visits through time up to today.
